Scholarships for Current Students

The scholarships listed below are available for currently-enrolled international degree students who are admitted to NTU in accordance with Regulations for International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan set by the Ministry of Education. This does not include dual degree students. Eligible students may apply for these scholarships if they do not currently hold another scholarship from the Taiwan government or NTU

 

College/Department Scholarship

Many colleges and departments have their own specific scholarships for outstanding international students. Please contact your college/department office for more information.

 

2023E.SUN Bank ASEAN Scholarship(PDF)

Eligibility:

1. An applicant who holds a citizenship of Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam or Myanmar

2. Master's degree students

Award: total NTD 100,000 for one academic year, distributed in two semesters.

2024 Yoneyama Rotary Club Scholarship (PDF)

Eligibility:

  1. Japanese nationality
  2. Current students

Award:  NTD 25,000/month

Duration: One year, from September 2024 to August 2025

How to Apply:  Please submit all the application documents to the organization by mail/post.

Application Deadline: June 11th, 2024 (documents arrival date at the office)

 

NTU-Mr. Jamie Lin Southeast Asia Scholarship for 2023/2024 Spring Semester (PDF)

Eligibility:

  1. Indonesia, Philippines, or Vietnam nationality
  2. Current bachelor or master's student at NTU  

Note: If you're a master's student but you don't have any credits from the previous semester because you are working on your thesis, you can also apply for this scholarship. 

AwardNTD 120,000/academic year

Application Documents:

  1.  Application form/Identification sticker sheet (sample of identification photocopy).

  2. Certification of Enrollment for the second semester of the 112 academic years (download from the EPO system).

  3. Chinese transcript for the 112-1 semester (apply or print out from the Registration/Teaching and Research Section; 'Grade Notification' and 'myNTU Grade Records' are not accepted).

  4. Certificates of honor and discipline (download from the myNTU honor and discipline System).

  5. Personal statement of study purpose (including family background, study process, reasons for studying in Taiwan, and future plans; can be written in Chinese or English).

  6. Two recommendation letters from faculty members or senior students at the university.

How to Apply:  Please submit all the application documents to OIA in person.

Application Deadline:   March 12, 2024

Note: Applicants cannot receive other scholarships at the same time.

OIA will inform students who award the Mr. Jamie Lin Southeast Asia Scholarship.

 

NTU Governing Scholarships for International Degree Students

Eligibility: The applicant must be a current international undergraduate student at NTU

Award: Tuition waiver and monthly stipend of NTD 8,000 
Note: Tuition fees of up to NTD 65,000 will be waived. This is exclusive of administrative fees, thesis advisor’s fees, insurances, accommodation, internet service, credit fees, and other such fees, which the recipients shall bear on their own.

Duration: One year, from September 2024 through August 2025

NTU Outstanding International Graduate Student Scholarship

Eligibility: 

  1. Current international graduate student at NTU
  2. Master’s students under the 2nd year; PhD students under the 4th year

Award: Tuition waiver up to NTD 65,000 and monthly stipend

Note: Tuition fees of up to NTD 65,000 will be waived. This is exclusive of administrative fees, thesis advisor’s fees, insurance, accommodation, internet service, credit fees, and other such fees, which the recipients shall bear on their own.

NTU Loyalty Award

Eligibility:
Graduating international or overseas Chinese (including Hong Kong and Macao) degree students of NTU that have been admitted into an NTU graduate program before graduation. Students admitted into master's programs should be in the top half of their class the semester before their application.
 
Application Deadline: October 31th, 2024, 12 p.m. 
 
 

Award:
Master's Program: NTD 100,000
PhD Program: NTD 200,000

The Chung Hwa Rotary Educational Foundation - Taiwan Rotary Academic Scholarship 

Eligibility:

  1. The applicant must be a graduate student who is studying at university in Taiwan.

Quota: Each university recommends 2 students. ( 1 master student/ 1 PhD student )

Application Documents: Please see the the scholarship application for a comprehensive list of all required documents. For the recommendation letters, please include one from your thesis advisor. 

How to Apply: 

  1. Please submit the scholarship application form and all the required documents to OIA in person.
  2. OIA will forward your application documents to the rotary foundation. 

Application Deadline: September 30th, 2024, at 5 p.m.

Chia Fan Foundation Scholarship (PDF)

Eligibility:

  1. Current students enrolled in university.
  2. Bachelor students have priority.

Award: NTD 20,000

How to Apply:  Please prepare the required documents and mail them to the foundation directly. Please refer to the PDF file for details.

2024/2025 Taipei Tienmou Rotary Club Scholarship (PDF)

Eligibility:
  1. The applicant must be a current international degree student studying at university in Taiwan.
Award: NTD 50,000 (NTD 25,000/semester) and a scholarship certificate

Duration:
2024/2025 Academic Year

Required Documents:
  1. Application Form
  2. Recommendation Form
  3. Academic Transcript (past two years)
  4. Cover Letter introducing yourself, your academic background, and why you are a good candidate for this award.
How to Apply:
  1. Complete the application form. 
  2. Collect all required documents.
  3. Submit the application form and documents to OIA.

Note: Applicants don't have to provide the transcripts if it's their first year in NTU. 
 

2024 Gratitude & Heritage Scholarship & Literature and Art's Competition PDF

Eligibility: International and Overseas Chinese Undergraduate, Graduate and Doctorate students (in the second-year and above) who have complete the registration of Fall 2024.

Application Deadline: 17:00 November 8th, 2024. Submit the application form and documents to OIA.
