2025 Taiwan-UK University Consortium (TUKUC) Research Project Grant

Application Guidelines

To promote academic and English language collaboration between Taiwan and the UK, the Taiwan Ministry of Education (MOE) and the British Council have jointly established the Taiwan-UK University Consortium (TUKUC). This consortium brings together four leading higher education institutions from each country, fostering interdisciplinary and cross-cultural perspectives to address global challenges and advance academic and educational cooperation. Member universities include the University of Edinburgh, the University of the West of Scotland, Newcastle University, the University of Liverpool, National Taiwan University, National Taiwan Normal University, National Tsing Hua University, and National Sun Yat-sen University.

To achieve the above collaboration goals, the Ministry of Education will provide funding for research projects under two key themes—Green Energy and Net Zero Solutions and English as the Language of Teaching and Learning—to further strengthen academic exchange and connections between Taiwan and the UK.
